Chad Weigle is the Principal Broker and owner of Hawaii Luxury Listings, where he has been a key member of the team since 2014. Originally from the mainland, Chad first came to Hawaii over 30 years ago on vacation — and never left.
"Once I arrived, I thought, 'Why would I live anywhere else?' I've been here ever since."
A devoted father of three, Chad cherishes the strong sense of ohana that defines life on the Big Island. Taking full advantage of island life, Chad, his wife Holly, and their extended family love to explore the island's beauty, especially on their many holiday hikes.
After connecting with Hawaii Luxury Listings founder Johnny McElree, Chad discovered a passion for helping others find their dream homes on the Kohala Coast. "Johnny has helped so many people make their dream of living in Hawaii a reality. My goal is to do the same."

Johnny "Mac" McElree
Our Founder · 1953–2024
In 2024, our Hawaii Luxury Listings family experienced a tremendous loss with the passing of our Founder and Principal Broker, Johnny Mac McElree. Johnny moved to the Big Island in 2004 after the successful sale of his asphalt milling company in California. Drawn by the aloha spirit and the beauty of Hawaii Island, he embraced life in the islands, spending countless hours paddling the coastline with the Waikoloa Canoe Club and building lasting friendships throughout the community.
Recognizing an opportunity to help others fulfill their dreams of living in Hawaii, Johnny entered the real estate profession and began his career with Century 21 All Islands. In 2011, he founded Hawaii Luxury Listings, LLC, creating a boutique brokerage built upon honesty, integrity, hard work, and exceptional client service.

Over the next thirteen years, Johnny became one of the most respected figures in West Hawaii real estate. He earned numerous professional accolades, including multiple selections as one of Hawaii Business Magazine's Top 100 Realtors in Hawaii, recognition from the West Hawaii Association of REALTORS for Outstanding Creative Advertising, and membership in the prestigious Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate. He also served as a Director for the West Hawaii Association of REALTORS in 2013 and 2014.
Perhaps Johnny's greatest professional achievement was becoming the all-time sales leader in the Waikoloa Beach Resort, the community he proudly called home. Known affectionately as "The Mayor" of Waikoloa Beach Resort, Johnny was a familiar sight cruising the resort in his golf cart, always ready with a smile, a shaka, and a story.
Johnny's legacy continues to guide Hawaii Luxury Listings today. The values he instilled — integrity, professionalism, innovation, and genuine care for people — remain the foundation of our company. Today, Hawaii Luxury Listings proudly moves forward under the leadership of Broker-in-Charge Chad Weigle, who worked closely alongside Johnny for many years and shares the same commitment to excellence, client service, and community.
Johnny's absence is deeply felt throughout our community, but his impact will continue to be seen in the lives he touched, the friendships he built, and the company he founded.
